Russian Railways Logistics handles complex cargo from Finland in port of St. Petersburg
Russian Railways Logistics successfully handled complex cargo, namely feldspar delivered from Finland, directly from sea vessel into open wagons on the territory of the port of Saint-Petersburg. Feldspar is quite bulky and loose, thus the company prepared cargo handling equipment and rolling stock before providing transportation and handling services.  2013-11-06_SPb-feldspar_02.jpg

For the first time feldspar cargo on volumes of 500 tons was directly transshipped from the sea vessel into open wagons and further delivered to the Fayansovaya station of Moscow railway to JSC Kirovskaya Keramika.

In the framework of this project RZD Logistics provided port forwarding and sea freight services, organized admission and registration of customs documents for vehicles and wagons, equipped the cargo space and rolling stock for direct cargo unloading. The company prepared cargo handling equipment and rolling stock in advance in order to provide safe transportation and environmentally friendly cargo handling.

Monthly RZDL arranges transportation of 2-3 thousand tons of cargo for Trading House Hercules and offers a wide range of logistics services in Russia including truck forwarding, auto delivery in wagons, rail forwarding and provides vessels for cargo transportation.

Trading House Hercules is subsidiary of Sibelco, which is involved in trading and logistics activities including import of Sibelco Europe products, repackaging of barren minerals and packaging/selling of quartz products.
