Russian Railways Logistics launches new service between Saint-Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.
Russian Railways Logistics launches a new service from Saint-Petersburg to Yekaterinburg in order to reduce delivery time twice.

The new speedy train was dispatched from St. Petersburg-Tovarniy-Vitebskiy station on 30 October and reached the destination station on November 2, which was made in a record time of 2.5 days on a route of 2 098 km. The next train was dispatched on November 11 and  reached the destination point in time. In the future RZD Logistics plans to dispatch at least three trains per month.

The company provides its customers with the full range of integrated services including door-to-door delivery, provision of empty containers, terminal handling and if necessary - insurance and sea freight.

Over 80 trains have been dispatched on the route Saint-Petersburg - Yekaterinburg since 2011, when the current joint project of Russian Railways Logistics and Transcontainer was launched. The next step was introduction of the speedy train on the same route, which has comparative advantage against road transportation and may attract additional clients to rail.
