
Parties agreed to work together to expand the number of contacts with Russian and Indian freighters in order to attract the cargos to the North-South ITC. Parties are planning to develop Russian-Indian logistics cooperation as well. The signing of the agreement took place during the International Rail Business Forum “1520 Strategic Partnership: The Caspian Region”.
“The association with our Indian partners is essential for the successful development of the North-South ITC. The signing of the agreement is another evidence of the interest towards project. I am convinced that together we could increase the number of freighters, provide them with the excellent service and make the route highly demanded” – said Mr. Eduard Alyrzaev, First Deputy CEO of JSC RZD Logistics.
“Indian transport and logistics companies have a profound interest in development of North-South ITC. I believe that RZD Logistics will become our reliable partner and the agreement will enhance business relations between our countries” – said Mr. Shankar Shinde, vice chairman of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India.
