JSC RZD Logistics, the largest multimodal logistics operator in the CIS and Baltic countries, in cooperation with the Russian Export Center expands the service of non-resource export from Russia to China and launches a new circular railway route Vorsino-Chengdu-Vorsino.
This service has marked the next stage of development of the existing and successfully operating since April 2017 export container train Vorsino-Dalian. The route will operate in the framework of the project initiated by the Russian Export Center and aimed at support of non-resource export-oriented companies in transportation of their cargo to China.
A train departed across the new route from the terminal Freight Village Vorsino on September 13th at 9 p.m.. The train includes forty one 40-foot containers, it will go to China through the border points Naushki (Russia) and Zamyn-Uud (Mongolia). The delivery time will not exceed 14 days. The consignor is Obyedinennye Konditery LLC, which exports to China confectionery products (cookies, waffles).
This shipment also symbolizes the opening of the first circular route Russia-China across Mongolia. The time-table of departure will be formed in a way to avoid sending of empty rolling stock: train with containers from Vorsino to Chengdu will take containers from Chengdu upon arrival to China and deliver them to Vorsino.
“While realizing the importance of the project on the development of non-resource Russian export, JSC RZD Logistics is constantly working on the attracting new cargo and expanding the geography of railway export services.
