RZD Logistics and International Congress of industrialists and entrepreneurs agreed on cooperation in the realization of transport and logistics potential

JSC RZD Logistics and International Congress of industrialists and entrepreneurs (ICIE) signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of the realization of transport and logistics potential in the framework of transportation between Russia and the Persian Gulf countries, as well as North Africa.

The document was signed on the sidelines of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum by the CEO of RZD Logistics Dmitry Murev and the head of the Center of international projects and programs at ICIE Anatoliy Tkachuk.

Among the key goals of the achieved agreement is building logistics ties for the purpose of effective organization of export and import shipments, development of cooperation with transport, stevedoring and infrastructure companies from the Persian Gulf and North Africa countries and also providing economic effectiveness and competitiveness of the services that support the external trade relations of Russia.

“Our company is willing to implement joint projects with potential African and Arab partners based on the existing multimodal service along the International North South Transport Corridor. We have already strengthened partnership with the leading ports of Persian Gulf and North Africa, developing cooperation with Saudi Arabia. The signing of the memorandum should draw foreign partners’ additional attention to the INSTC”, – noted the CEO of RZD Logistics Dmitry Murev.
