RZD Logistics arranged the first dispatch of a full-fledged container train from Volga region to China

The branch of RZD Logistics in Saratov organized the first dispatch of a container train to China in direct railway connection. The train goes from Orlovka station (Volgograd region, Privolzhskaya Railway) to Yuxi railway station (Yiwu city, Zhejiang province).

The train consists of 62 40-feet containers with packed technical carbon. The cargo goes along the scheduled route in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan. The estimated time of delivery is 10 days.

The project implementation gives the exporters of Volga region the opportunity to deliver cargo to China by means of seamless technology, which allows to reduce the time and cost of transportation.

Today we are organizing the departure of the second train along this route. We are also planning to launch the service of cargo transportation from Privolzhskaya Railway to China via Mongolia”, – noted the head of RZD Logistics branch in Saratov Vera Vtorygina.
