RZD Logistics dispatched the first Agroexpress from Volgograd region to Mongolia

JSC RZD Logistics together with LLC TPK Alyans (part of Delo Group) and FESCO dispatched the first train, consisting of 76 40-feet containers, in the framework of Agroexpress project from Orlovka station of Privolzhskaya Railway in Volgograd region to Mongolia.

JSC RZD Logistics is a key operator of this transportation project, FESCO group provided container equipment and rolling stock (fitting platforms).

Container train was formed at the terminal of LLC TPK Alyans and will follow the route Orlovka (Privolzhskaya Railway) – Naushki export (East Siberian Railway) – Darkhan 1 (Ulaanbaatar Railway, Mongolia). In general the train will cover the distance near 7 000 km and will transport 1 976 tons of mustard seeds.

«In the course of 5 months the experts of our branch along with partners have been working out the details of this logistics solution, taking into consideration the specifics of the route and the large number of project participants. The client was provided with a full range of transport and logistics services, including terminal and warehouse services: placing the cargo to indoor warehouse, packing into big bags, fumigation and also processing of all documents necessary for railway transportation. In the future, all agricultural products will be delivered to clients in Mongolia and in China. The project has a significant potential, opening new perspectives in cargo consolidation for small and medium-sized businesses”, – noted a head of RZD Logistics branch in Saratov Vera Vtorygina.

During a crop harvesting transport and logistics services for agricultural producers are at high demand at Privolzhskaya Railway. JSC RZD Logistics is planning to continue monthly shipments of Agroexpress on this route.
