RZD Logistics has launched a new direct railway route for the delivery of agricultural products to China

JSC RZD Logistics has expanded the geography of Agroexpress service by organizing the delivery of marble beef of one of the largest Russian producers through the direct railway route from Moscow region to Qingdao.

Accelerated delivery of meet products in autonomous refrigerated containers is organized from Chekhov railway station through the territory of Kazakhstan. A new route is expected to become regular and to be used for the delivery of other categories of cargo.

RZD Logistics provides cargo forwarding on the whole route, as well as the delivery of cargo to final consignee. Speed is the main advantage of the launched service. The average time of delivery is 14-16 days.

“The new route solves the issue of accelerating the delivery to Qingdao, one of the largest economic hubs in China, mainly due to avoiding the sea leg. Zarechnoe group (Russian producer of premium quality marble beef, which is in high demand in China) is the first to test this new railway service. We expect other Russian exporters to appreciate the advantages of the new service”, – noted RZD Logistics’ deputy director of agricultural logistics Igor Nosyrev.
