RZD Logistics launched an additional route for the delivery of pork from Russia to China

JSC RZD Logistics has launched an additional accelerated route for the delivery of Russian pork in autonomous refrigerated containers from Russia to China – through the territory of Kazakhstan.

A new route complements shipments to Xian across the border crossing Grodekovo-Suifenhe. Geographic expansion of the railway service has become possible due to the fact that the Committee for the Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan lifted restrictions related to import and transit of pork and products made of pork.

“Russian pork is traditionally in high demand in China, that is why we strive to expand the route map for the delivery of this product to the central provinces of China. Strict observance of temperature conditions and short time of delivery are the key characteristics of our railway services, designed for the producers of pork from different regions of Russia”, – noted the Director for container logistics of RZD Logistics Alexander Sivertsev.
