RZD Logistics together with partners launched the project on potassium fertilizer delivery from Belarus to China across the INSTC

In the end of February JSC RZD Logistics formed and signed a contract with one of Belarus’ leading producers of potassium fertilizer. In the framework of the agreement, the company has started to provide the full transport and logistics support and deliver fertilizer in transit full-fledged container trains along the Eastern route of the International North-South Transport Corridor.

The cargo is being transported to consumers in China. Two container trains have already been dispatched in the end of February, with more volume expected in the nearest future.

“We view this first delivery as a test one and count on long-term cooperation with this client who acknowledges our company’s expertise in the INSTC and, in particular, its Eastern route development. We clearly see the trend, according to which producers are inclined to switch to alternative distribution markets, which allows them to diversify the finished product supply chain”, – noted the Deputy General Director for multimodal service of RZD Logistics Dmitriy Kryukov.
